2017 Creative Review

Well, 2017 was quite a year. We created countless campaigns, shifted loads of product and made the awareness dial move in the right direction. In no particular order, here’s a small taste of some of that work. Thanks to all our client and production partners for helping us make it happen. Enjoy…and see you again in 2018.

Hort Innovation - Aussie Apples

Earlier this year, Aussie Apples got their crunch on with the launch of their new national campaign. Results have been great so far and to top it all off, Parents’ Voice awarded the brand ‘Fame’ awards in the Food and Physical Activity categories. Eat that, unhealthy snacks.

Stockland – My Place

To help more people get into the property market, we created the online series ‘My Place: A handy guide for first home buyers’. Starring Adam Dovile from Better Homes & Gardens, each episode is full of handy tips delivered in an easy to digest way. Smashed avo, anyone?

CommBank – Youth

How do you encourage a notoriously fickle generation to be better with their finances? Give them a dose of ‘Living with Reality’. This content campaign was fantastically well received, smashing performance KPIs to be the highest recall-to-budget ratio on record for the bank.

Snack Brands - Kettle Sweet Potato Chips

Following on from the successful launches of Kettle Chips and Kettle Popcorn, we created another lovingly crafted ‘ode’ to Kettle’s new Sweet Potato range. If you haven’t tried them, then you should watch the ad right now. If that doesn’t make you want a pack, nothing will.

Casella - Peter Lehmann

Peter Lehmann Wines

When Casella tasked us with re-launching the famous Peter Lehmann brand we got to work. While standing out in an oversaturated wine market is not easy, our ‘It takes a village’ campaign achieved incredible results, including a 31% uplift in sales. Cheers to that.

Colonial First State – Sports Boost

Sports Boost is a community program from Colonial First State that rewards young, talented athletes with much needed financial support. This year saw record nominations and public votes. The lucky winner, Sofia Sakalis, is one to watch - a future Matilda in the making.

Barnardos – Mother of the Year

Mums are great, aren’t they? To recognise all the incredible mums across Australia, we once again helped Barnardos launch Mother of the Year. In 2017, Carol Edmunds from Burnie, Tasmania was the winner. Who will be crowned in 2018? Better get your nominations in fast.

Stockland - The R Word

To dispel the myths of Retirement Living, we created a Podcast series called The R Word. Hosted by Shane Jacobson, The R Word not only turned a Retirement Living sceptic into a believer, it was also nominated for Radio Campaign of the Year at the 2017 B&T Awards.

Bankwest – Better Call Dad

When you need answers to life’s tricky questions, who do you turn to? That’s right, dad. Same goes for tricky banking questions. Better Call Dad helped solve ‘complex’ financial problems in a simple, jargon-free way and, judging by the results, a lot of people listened.

Macquarie Media G.O.A.T

This year, Macquarie Media ran the G.O.A.T competition where the agency judged to have written the best radio spot (for their fictional ferry brand, Ahoy) would win $100,000 free media for their client of choice. Well, we won. Now, can you spot the Ikon talent in the ad?
